Special Adviser to Governor Liyel Imoke on security matters, Rekpene E. Bassey has issued warning to oil dealers in the state to desist from their plans to sell off tankers impounded by the state government few months ago. In a statement made available to newsmen yesterday, Bassey said nobody has been authorized to remove any of the trucks, sell or evacuate the content of the impounded oil tankers. He “it is only the state governor that can issue specific directives about those trucks. Meantime, he has not yet made up his mind on what to do with the trucks. Anybody having the intention to tamper with those trucks would only be doing so at his or her own risk.”
