Three ‘fraudsters’ arraigned in Kano

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arraigned Sani Gambo, Jamilu Sani Gambo and Idris Mohammed before a Federal High Court sitting in Kano on a three count charge bordering Advance Fee Fraud.
The court heard that the duo operated under name; Beanstar Network Limited where they provides Electronic Communication Services illegally to subscribers without obtaining their full names and addresses which is an offense contrary to sections 12 (1) (a) (b) and (c) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under section 12 (3) of the same Act.
All the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges. Therefore, their defence counsels applied for their bail which the court granted.
Presiding judge, Justice Fatu Riman, adjourned the case to February 25.
