A staff of the Bauchi State Ministry of Finance, Mallam Abbas Ahmed Faggo, who was sacked over what was described as derogatory comments about Governor Idris Isa Yuguda, has filed a fresh suit against the state government.
A copy of the suit filed by his counsel, Barrister Usman Baffa Darazo, showed that Faggo filed a suit before National Industrial Court in Jos. In the suit, Faggo faulted the termination of his appointment by the state government on the grounds that he was not given fair hearing or the opportunity to defend himself.
Faggo asked the court to declare the termination of his appointment null and void and order the government to reinstate him with all emoluments from the date of his suspension.
Faggo’s counsel, Barrister Darazo, who spoke to newsmen said the case is before the chief judge of the industrial court.
