Nasarawa Express workers on indefinite strike over unpaid salaries

Workers of Nasarawa Express on Wednesday embarked on an indefinite strike over  six months salary arrears. Chairman of Amalgamated Union, Nasarawa Transport Workers, Mr Timothy Marku, who spoke with newsmen in Lafia said, “we have been working for the past six months without salary. Our children have been sent home from school and we are unable to pay our house rents due to lack of money.” Marku said the union called its members out on strike not to sabotage government’s efforts, but to ensure that the demands of the workers are met.
