Father of 5 gets quadruplets
Category: News
A peasant farmer and father of five, Lucious Kanvong, was recently blessed with quadruplets through his 28-year-old wife, Paulina.
The couple are from Assu village, Takad chiefdom, Kaura local government area of Kaduna state
According to a resident doctor, the quadruplets were delivered prematurely through caesarean section at the Kaura General Hospital with weights between 1.25 and 1.40 kilogrammes.
The Medical Director of the hospital Dr. Mercy Atyong said the two male and the two females were delivered at 35 weeks gestation and needed incubation and close monitoring for their survival.
“We are planning to transfer them to Jos University Teaching Hospital for specialist attention,” she said.
Speaking to Daily Trust, the father of the quadruple, Kanvong, who said he was confused about his fortune, called on Nigerians for help.
“I am a farmer and with my predicament, I am confused and don’t know what to do. The survival of these children lies on the government and the general public because we really need help,” he said.
