Clash in Delta displaces women, children

Women and Children of Oghorho-Uwheru community of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, were yesterday seen fleeing their homes to neighboring communities for fear of night attack.
Members of the National Good Governance Tour team ran into the aftermath of what seemed to be a clash between Fulani herdsmen and members of the community at the Bomadi junction.
The clash reportedly began Tuesday. Army officials and agents of the State Security Service (SSS) attached to the team had gone ahead to pave way for commuters who stopped for fear of running into danger.
Daily Trust reports that two corpses were seen laid on the road while two graders of Setraco construction company, handling the dualization project of the East-West road were seen in flames and tyres were being burnt in the middle of the road.
Unconfirmed reports said cattle belonging to Fulani herdsmen were killed and they retaliated by killing two members of the community and dumping their bodies in the bush.
