Fire destroys Benue flood relief items

Flood relief items worth millions of naira have been destroyed by fire in Makurdi, Benue state.
The items were meant for the flood victims in Makurdi local government.
A section of three-classroom block of the LGEA primary school, Wurukum housing the item was also razed down.
Daily Trust gathered that the fire started at 5pm on Wednesday and lasted for an hour before the fire service officials arrived.
Executive Secretary of Benue State Emergency Management Agency, Adikpo Agbatse told journalists that he was unhappy over the development which happened at a time when the items were about to be distributed to the affected victims.
