Abia exco asks former governor to apologise over comment

Abia State Executive Council Forum has asked former governor of the state, Chief Orji Uzor Kālu to apologise to them, for saying commissioners in the present administration in the state complained to him that they are not being treated fairly.
Kalu was quoted in a report as saying his return to the PDP was necessitated by complaints made by some members of the Abia House of Assembly as well as commissioners that they are sidelined in the scheme of things.
Addressing a press conference in Umuahia, chairman of the forum and commissioner of justice in the state, Barrister Umeh Kalu said “No commissioner or Exco member serving in the present administration has had any cause to say he is not getting anything”
He said all the commissioners enjoy unprecedented job satisfaction compared to what obtains during the “eight dark years of Kalu in the state.”
He regretted the statement credited to Kalu describing it as “spurious allegation”.
Secretary of the forum chief Don Ubani on his part said the forum demands unreserved apology from Kalu as well as immediate retraction of false hood against members of Abia State exco.
