APC will sweep PDP away in 2015- Okorocha
Category: Inside politics Written by Johnkennedy Uzoma, Owerri
As reactions trail the merger of the four major political parties in the country last week, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has reaffirmed his belief in the merger saying the All Progressives Congress (APC) would sweep away the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the control of the central government in 2015.
Okorocha said this yesterday during the public declaration of one of his cabinet members, Barr.Ugochi Nnana Okoro as a member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) at Dan Anyiam Sports Stadium Owerri.
He enlisted support of all for the merger of some political parties, adding that development comes as a good thing to genuine APGA members even as he described the defection of Barrister Okoro with her supporters as an operation to sweep PDP away from the state.
He regretted that for the past 12years the PDP had held power in the state, it has no achievements to show.
The Governor who described Okoro as a charismatic leader, urged her to use her position to ensure the present administration achieves the objectives of the Community Government Council (CGC).
