Why I am hosting Flying Eagles – Emenike

Business mogul, Chief Poly Emenike has said he has thrown his weight behind the Flying Eagles preparations for the forthcoming 2013 Africa Junior Championship in Algeria because the team is the future of Nigerian football.

The Chairman of Neros Pharmaceutical Ltd said the present generation of players would take over from the Super Eagles who are currently vying for honours in the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.

Chief Emenike who in conjunction with the Government of Anambra State is hosting the Flying Eagles 3-weeks camping at the new Neros Sports Stadium, Nanka in Anambra said “I am hosting the Flying Eagles in Anambra State because I believe that the Under 20 and Under 17 National Teams are the Future of our Football.

“The current problem we are facing with the Super Eagles now can be attributed to the fact that we neglected these younger categories of our Football. We must give our Youths the opportunity and support to grow and excel and there is no better way to do that than to come out and support them”

“When Barrister Iyke Igbokwe approached me to host the Flying Eagles in Anambra State and in my Stadium, Neros Sports Stadium, Nanka, I did not think twice because I knew it was my patriotic duty to my country who gave me an honour of Member of the order of Niger (MON)”.

Chief Emenike therefore called on all well meaning Nigerians to give unflinching support to the Flying Eagles as they continue with their preparations for the Africa youth championship in March.
