National U-12 Baseball Camp Opens today

The national baseball camp for U-12 Under Baseball Team that will represent Nigeria in IBAF World Cup in Taipei, China, has opened in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.The team's Head of Media, Ikenna Agu made this known on Tuesday evening.
He said Coach Gerard Hall of DC Knight Baseball, USA will take charge of the team alongside his assistants to the camp.
"The camping will run full blast tomorrow (wednesday) with the young baseball players are expected to receive instructions from both the foreign and local coaches."
Meanwhile, players from Abuja are having challenges resuming camp due to lack of assistance from the baseball authority in Abuja while players from Lagos, Ibadan, Ondo and Ilorin got the support of their state governments. Coach Kunle Ajayi, who is an assistant coach, noted.
“…the entire camp will miss the Abuja Catcher who became a star of the Championship where all the players were selected last year in Ibadan”.
Coach Kunle Ajayi is from Ondo State Sports Council. Other Coaches in the Camp are Coach Rita Ato, Delta State Sports Commission and Coach Joseph Ogunseye from Kwara State.
