According to Mr. Awopetu Oluwayemi Femi, owner of a red Gulf car which was damaged during the incident, said he did not know what to do or say.
“Some people came to inform me that something has happened to my car around 6 am, and when I rushed down, I met this. I don’t know to do. I have been seeing this woman around”, he said.
The caretaker chairman of the council, Mr. Joel Omoniyi, who was at the scene while the woman was being interrogated, said the local government would direct its social welfare section to look into the matter.
The Divisional Police Officer of Efon Alaaye, Mr. Abanaofor Ify, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, who confirmed that the woman is in the custody of the police, said they would liaise with relevant authorities to handle the issue.
