A Katsina magistrate’s court has been told how a 40-year-old man allegedly lured three primary school pupils and sodomised them at different times.
The headmaster of Sallau Primary School, Malumfashi on April 10 reported the matter at Malumfashi Police Station leading to his arrest and subsequent arraignment of the accused person, one Abdullahi Umar, who resides at Danrimi quarters, Malumfashi.
The police prosecutor, Sani Ado, said the suspect owned up to the crime during investigation. He said the police pleaded for more time to further investigate the matter.
Ado said the headmaster told police that on the fateful day, and other different days and occasions, the accused allegedly deceived and induced three pupils of the school with money, and severally abused them in his residence.
He said the actions of the accused were contrary to Section 283 of the penal code, adding that the accused is presently on bail in another different rape case aside this new one. The presiding magistrate, Fadilla Dikko, remanded the accused in prison till June 12 when the case is scheduled to come up for further mention.
