The Tony Elumelu Foundation on Friday urged the people of Taraba State with good business ideas to apply for support to actualize their dreams as entrepreneurs.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Mr Tony Elumelu disclosed this through a live streaming interaction with prospective applicants in Jalingo.
He explained that the Foundation had earmarked $100million to empower people with good business ideas across the 54 countries of Africa.
The chairman stated that government alone would not be able to tackle the challenge of poverty and hunger on the continent hence the initiating of his foundation.
According to him, the foundation believed that a good business idea can change the story of Africa and advised those with good initiative should come forward and translate such ideas into reality.
Elumelu said the world’s richest people today were direct outcome of good business ideas and therefore the foundation was doing everything possible to ensure that such ideas was not allow to die.
