The Director of a camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Bukuru, Jos, Rev Mancha Darong, has said the camp spends about N600,000 monthly to feed the 180 IDPs.

Speaking during the donation of relief materials to the camp by members of the Peace Corps in Plateau State, Rev Darong said the camp had accommodated over 400 IDPs since its establishment in 2014.

“We spend over N600,000 monthly to feed the 180 IDPs in the camp,” he said.

Speaking, the Deputy Commander Peace Corps Plateau State, Vwarak Davou, said the corps’ gesture was in line with its mandate aimed at providing succour for the distressed.

The corps donated rice, maize, potato, water, eggs, onions, salts, cooking oil, soaps, seasoning and clothes.
