Stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry have identified poor infrastructure, negative media reporting, incessant killings, and poor packaging of tourist sites as issues that are needed to be addressed for the tourism business to thrive in Nigeria.
Addressing stakeholders in Lagos at the Institute of Directors (IoD) 2018 Tourism and Hospitality Forum, the Chairman of Silverbird Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, said many people are discouraged from visiting Nigeria due to the killings and kidnappings continuously publicised in the media.
Such negative reports, according to him, also discourage domestic tourism.
