The Anambra State Ministry of Education has sacked two school principals for illegal collection of fees from students.

The Commissioner for Education, Prof Kate Omenugha, who gave the revelation in a radio audience participatory programme, ‘Score Card’, said another principal was facing disciplinary action for examination malpractice.

Omenugha who explained that the measure was part of efforts to promote quality and affordable education, called on people to key into the state government’s ‘Adopt a school Policy Prgramme’, insisting that the business of education could not be left for the government alone.

“We appeal to wealthy individuals to support schools in their communities to ensure that children of poor parents have access to quality education,” she said.
