The Chairman of Abaji Area Council, Abdulrahman Ajiya, has donated N200,000 cash to an  accident victim, Mr. Musa Joshua, on admission at the general hospital in the area.

Our reporter learnt that Joshua, who is a staff of health department of the council, was involved in a motor accident late last year on Abuja- Lokoja road, while on his way to Gwagwalada.

Ajiya, represented by the council supervisory  councillor for health, Alhaji Suleiman Anguss, in company of the council head of Department for Health, Dr. Basil Magaji, said the gesture was to assist the patient treat himself so that he will recover on time.

Joshua,  while receiving the money thanked the council chairman for the financial support, saying that it will no doubt go a long way in  reducing the burden on his family.

“I must appreciate your kind gesture for the financial support you have given me. And your action today has truly proved you are someone who is passionate in leading his people,” Joshua said.
