The Caucus of the Delta State All Progressive Congress (APC) has ordered the dissolution of all internal pressure groups as the party strategises ahead of the 2019 election.
The Status Caucus, which was hosted Tuesday by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, resolved to build a more cohesive family and ensure unity of purpose for the future political tasks ahead.
The caucus expressed worry over the internal health of the party in the state and identified the multiplicity of pressure groups as a disintegrating factor that has plagued Delta APC.
The groups to be specifically dissolved are Unity Group, Mainstream Delta APC, Light of APC, Consolidated Dynamics APC, the I-PAC, among others.
