The Governor of Osun State, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has described the death of Sheik Salaudeen Olayiwola, the President of Osun State Muslim Community, as a huge loss to the state and the entire Muslim Ummah in the country and beyond.
Speaking through his Media Adviser, Mr. Sola Fasure, the governor described the late Sheik Salaudeen as a fervent believer who was one of the leading lights of Islam in the state and Nigeria.
Aregbesola said Sheik Salaudeen was a shining light in many fields of Islam and was for many years a great teacher and preacher.
According to the governor, “the deceased was an illustrious citizen of this country and Osun State. He was always ready to offer sincere advice to successive governments on peaceful coexistence and religious harmony in the state and the country.”
