The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) yesterday rescued two girls abducted and locked for seven days in an apartment by a man in Lafia, the state capital.
State Commandant, Muhammed Mahmoud Fari, who paraded the victims, said a man, now at large abducted the girls aged 18 and 15 years, kept them inside a house for seven days and fled.
The commandant said the husband of one of the victims Ibrahim Nasiru reported the matter to the command and efforts to get her through phone number proved abortive.
He said the Command’s intelligence unit traced the house where the victims were locked and a special squad breaks the entrance door to rescue them.
