Community Devt: Sokoto villages receive N7million worth of cement

A total of 2,040 bags of cement worth N7million have been distributed to 68 villages and towns in Wamakko local government areas of Sokoto by the Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN).

Each benefitting community received 30 bags of cement.

Speaking at the distribution exercise, Corporate Affairs Manager of the company, Alhaji Sada Suleiman, said the initiative was part of corporate social responsibility of CCNN to host communities.

He said it was meant for community development projects such as renovation of wells, mosques and schools among others.

The manager expressed the company’s continued support to the communities.

The Chairman, Wamakko local government area, Alhaji Bello Buba, lauded CCNN for the gesture.

He noted that the company had been assisting the communities in the local government area in various areas such as health, education, and water supply.
