An aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives has in partnership with the National Eye Center, Kaduna, flagged off a free medical and eye surgery exercise for over 10,000 indigent people with health challenges.
The aide, Shehu Bawa, said the beneficiaries were drawn from across Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone comprising seven local government areas.
He said over 10,000 with various ailments such as Hernia, Fibroid, Diabetes, Hypertension, Malaria, Typhoid, Worms, Cataracts Operation and many more will be operated on.
“There are over 40 medical doctors who are specialists in different medical fields who are here today to attend to individuals with different health challenges especially people with various eye defects who could not pay for treatments,” he explained.
