The Port Harcourt Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ishaq Salihu, said the Commission recovered N2bn from the zone in 2017.
Salihu said yesterday during a road walk by the Commission in Port Harcourt to commemorate the 2018 United Nation’s Anti-Corruption Day that before now the yearly recovery of the Commission had not exceeded N400 million, but that the increase in the fund recovery was not what to celebrate due to rising crime in the country.
He added that the commission also recovered several houses which were used to perpetuate crimes.
