The FCT mandate secretary of the Area Councils Service Secretariat, Malam Abubakar Adamu Bappah, has charged the six area council chairmen to intensify efforts to improve their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in order to boost development in the satellite towns.
Bappah stated this when he received the executives of the Coalition of Abuja Indigenous Association (CAIA), led by its spokesman, Ahmadu Yunusa Yusuf, in his office on Thursday.
He called on the FCT natives to support the FCT minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, in his effort to provide services across satellite towns in the territory.
Also, the coordinator of the FCT Satellite Towns Development Agency, Tanko Isyaku Yamawo, who received the executives of CAIA in his office, said it was unfortunate that the satellite towns had been neglected since the setting up of the agency.
“There is a lot to be done here and we have barely known what the agency stands for but Insha Allah, we are reviving the status of the agency and its statutory duties,” he said.
