The Muslim Congress (TMC), Federal Capital Territory Chapter, has offered free medical services to residents of Mpape, a suburb in Bwari Area Council.

The medical outreach featured lecture, consultation, checkup and provision of drugs.

TMC coordinator in Abuja, Mutiullah Aremu, said reaching out to the less privileged in local communities was part of the group’s way of benefiting the society.  This is part of TMC’s “Khuruj fii sabilillah” (Rural Dawah), which included street-to-street lectures, visitation to prison and orphanage, health caravan and community service, he said.

According to him, spiritual health is lacking among some Nigerian Muslims, urging them to keep purifying their souls with pristine teachings of Islam.

He said a sound body is also needed to complement a sound mind to perfect act of worship, which requires physical fitness.

He enjoined other Muslim groups to keep reaching out to the society spiritually and medically, saying all sorts of atrocities are prevalent in the country because there is no fear of Allah.

In his lecture, Ustaz Teslim Akoshile, enjoined Muslims to imbibe the virtues of justice, truthfulness and trust in their dealings.

“In any society where there is no truthfulness and trust, its economy will be in shambles because investors would be discouraged,” he said.
