A non-governmental organization, Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, has trained  465 youths and women on different vocations that would make them self-reliant.

The coordinator of the foundation, Hajiya Adama Shehu Aliyu, said this during a seminar organised for youths and women by the foundation.

She said the beneficiaries were also provided with the necessary equipment to facilitate the smooth take-off of their trades.

The youths were trained on soap, bag and shoe making, as well as tailoring, tiling, POP and computer operation.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Rabi Abdulsalam, and Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, appreciated the foundation for its contribution to the development of youths and women.
