The President of Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has described Senator (General) Jeremiah T. Useni (Rtd) representing Plateau South, as an invaluable assets to the senate.
Saraki made the remarks during 75th birthday celebration of Sen. Useni and book launch held at Hill Station Hotel in Jos.
He also explained the people of Plateau state are lucky to have Sen. Useni because of his gentleman-ship, commitment and dedication to serving humanity.
He said, “As for us in the senate, he has been an invaluable asset, he has quantum of wisdom and experience and we are happy to have him in the senate. I want to tell you that your zeal and energy that you have shown have been quite surprising, I felt you were much younger than your real age.”
Saraki added that Sen. Useni’s contributions to Nigeria both as an army officer and politician were commendable and legacies to younger ones.
“I want to congratulate you, and thank Almighty God for what he has done for your life, and how much you have sacrifice for this country, you have shown high degree of good leadership, patriotism and selfless service for this country."
