 Award-winning Kannywood actress, Nafisa Abdullahi has paid a touching tribute to her beloved late mother.

Nafisa’s mother died in Abuja on Tuesday after she suffered from an undisclosed ailment.

In a tribute, the actress said she still cannot believe her mother had really gone. “I wish this is all a dream and I wish someone can wake me up, but it’s not. My mother is really gone.”

The actress popularly known as ‘Nafisa Sai Wata Rana’ explained that her late mother taught her to be strong to enable her overcome the challenges and hurdles in life.

She said, “I was really touching your feet, your hands, your face just maybe you would wake up, but you didn’t, I know you didn’t want to leave us all alone here, but you had to because the almighty called you. I can still see that smile, that glow on your face; you were happy to go.”

Nafisa added that her heart won’t be able to bear the loss of her mother, “But you told me to be what you taught me, and that is being the strongest! I will be strong because it is your wish, until I see you again in Jannatul firdaus.”

She said, “I will not say goodbye. I’d rather say till we meet again mama. I can still see you looking at me, but you didn’t say anything, you kept looking at me and I asked what is it? You wanted something but you didn’t say anything. I wish I knew what was on your mind, what you really wanted to tell me.”
