The Chairmanship aspirant of Plateau state chapter of Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria, MOPPAN, Ibrahim Lawal Ibrahim has promised to revamp the Hausa film industry (Kannywood) in order to become one of the biggest employers of labour in the state.

Ibrahim made the statement in an interview with journalists after picking the nomination form to seek for the chairmanship position.

Ibrahim who is a producer pledged that if given the mandate to run the affairs of MOPPAN he would transform filmmakers and youth by empowering them to be more productive.

He said, "I want youth to know that there is abandon opportunities in the industry if adequately harness it will boost the financial income of everyone,"

He reiterated that he would employ his connection, experience to promote motion picture industry towards engaging upcoming artist for them to be useful and generate revenue to the government.

"If given the mandate I would organize an interface with religious leaders to educate them on the need to be involved in filmmaking." He concluded.
