The Katsina State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 108 drug suspects and recovered 101.71kg illicit drugs from September to November, this year.
The State Commander, Maryam Sani, in a chat with newsmen said of those arrested four are females, 11 students of various tertiary institutions across the state with three out of the 11 under aged.
She said a breakdown of the recovered drugs showed that 53.5kg was cannabis sativa, and 48.1kg psychotropic substances made up of Diazepam, Exol and Tramadol and 497 bottles, making a total of 49.7 litres of cough syrup with codeine.
She decried the increasing indulgence of youth, especially women and children in drugs, noting that collaborative hands were needed to address the situation.
