Due to the recent Lassa fever outbreak, Adamawa state government has procures drugs and personal protection equipment.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Fatima Atiku Abubakar made this known to newsmen adding that the emergency operation centre for the management of such cases has been established.
Dr. Abubakar stressed that there have been surveillance signals sent to a Yola, Borno, Taraba and Gombe notifying them about the dangers of the scourge.
She said from record so far, 102 have contacted the disease and are under close observations and care.
The state ministry of Health has decided to embark on sensitization of the disease in order to prevent the occurrence of the disease.
She called on the general public to report any suspected cases to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Yola.
