The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu has described the late Chief Nath Uzodinma Onyeukwu as a man who represented the finest ideals of honour, sincerity of purpose and forthrightness.
The minister who is lead a delegation to the funeral service of the late elder statesman was among dignitaries that have paid tribute to Chief Onyeukwu.
Onu said by his death, the nation has lost a very important Nigerian.
“He was a great Nigerian who loved his country and his fellow country men and women,” he was quoted to have said in a statement by the deceased family.
Chief Onyeukwu died on May 29 at the age of 85 years and will be buried today in Owerri.
He was survived by Sunny Onyeukwu, the Special Assistant to the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.
