The NASCO Group Limited has donated assorted food items and detergent worth N65m to Plateau, Lagos, Ogun states and Federal Capital, Abuja as palliatives to the people affected by the lockdown imposed by governments.
Dr. Attia Nasreddin, executive chairman of the group, presented the items to the representatives of the states at the headquarters of the company, in Jos.
According to Nasreddin, the donation was part of the company’s gesture to consolidate on the efforts of both FG and state governments in the fight against the dreaded disease in Nigeria.
While appreciating the efforts of the Nigerian government towards mitigating the pandemic, the company also urged Nigerians to obeyed government directives and global best practices which aimed at stemming the scourge of the disease in the country, adding that, “the fight is a duty on all and sundry”.
The executive chairman further urged the government representatives to ensure proper distribution of the items, saying that the palliatives should get to the most needy.
