The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Mrs Aisha Mohammed as the Deputy Clerk to the House of Representatives on Administration, the first female from the North to occupy that position.
Until her elevation, Mrs Mohammed was a director in the National Assembly. She attended the Bayero University, Kano between 1979 and 1982, where she obtained a Bsc in Political Science.
She began her career as a Grade 2 Mistress with the Kano State Government in 1983, before she transferred her services to the National Assembly in December, 1991.
Born on April 24, 1959, Mrs Mohammed hails from Dala Local Government of Kano State.
Mrs Mohammed has attended many courses, including the Canberra Australia Attachment programme for legislative officers in the Commonwealth Parliament in 1992; Commonwealth Parliamentary Association for Legislative Officers of National and State Houses of Assembly, Abuja, 1999 and Parliamentary Admin Policies and Procedures, Cape Town, South Africa.
