The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brigadier-General Sulaiman Kazaure has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Chemical Society of Nigeria.

The investiture of Kazaure and 42 other Fellows took place at the 40th annual international conference of the body which held in Kaduna.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Professor Gloria Ukalina Obuzor, said Kazaure and others were elevated to the Fellowship cadre, having reached the peak of their professional career.

Obuzor said the new Fellows had met set criteria, including provision of outstanding service and support to the society over the years.

She congratulated them on the attainment of the Fellowship, and urged them to brace up for greater responsibilities.

“Your service to CSN has earned you this elevation and I am charging you to utilize the ‘Global Chemists Code of Ethics’ as your guide and watch word in all your activities. Be informed that your service, responsibilities and commitment to the society has increased because of your new status in the society,” she said.

Responding on behalf of other new Fellows, the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, thanked the society for considering them worthy. Kazaure gave assurance of their commitment to the progress of the body in particular, as well as the general good of the country through their respective callings.

He also advised upcoming Chemists to work hard so as to attain the peak of their careers.
