The interim chairman of the old boys, Muhammad Maina Gimba, said the gesture was to complement government efforts in providing friendly leaning environment for students.

“Last year, we donated two reservoirs and 20 plastic chairs for teachers. We were nurtured well by this school and we will continue to support the school to help our younger ones get the best out of it,” he said.

He said the school, which was established by the community in 1972 before it was taken over by the state government in 1975 had not witnessed any renovation.

“We commend Governor Ibrahim Gaidam for his laudable effort in retrofitting zonal secondary schools. We appeal to  him to include our college renovation in the 2018 budget,” he said.

Receiving the desks, the college principal, Jibrin Modu Daura, thanked the old boys for their foresight.
