Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is advocating for the conduct of primary election among the national chairmanship aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the Southwest geopolitical zone to have a solid front in the coming national convention of the party.

Fayose said this on Saturday when the former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, visited him at government house, Ado-Ekiti.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, quoted the governor as saying that presenting one contestant would brighten the chances of the zone in clinching the position at the national convention of the party.

In his remarks, Otunba Daniel, who is among the chairmanship aspirants, said he had all it takes to lead the PDP.
