The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr. Boss Mustapha has urged the management of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to establish skills acquisition hubs in the 774 local governments of the federation to accelerate economic growth and employment policy of government.
He gave the advice yesterday in Abuja when he received the Director-GeneralChief Executive Officer of the ITF Sir Joseph Ari and other management staff in his office.
Mustapha challenged the fund to step up efforts in developing the Nigerian youth with hands-on skills to enable them become self-reliant and entrepreneurs which will have positive effects on the economy, the SGF said in a statement signed by a spokesman in his office Andrew Agyo Uhwe.
He urged the management to upgrade and update the knowledge of its staff on current skills and certification.
Speaking earlier, Sir Ari said he and his team visited the SGF to congratulate him on his appointment and also to intimate him on the operations of the fund.
