The Chairman of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Alumni Association, Abuja branch, Professor Chudi Uwazurike, has said that members will start a N100 million endowment fund to halt infrastructural decay in the institution.
He made the announcement at an annual dinner in Abuja. He said the association would raise N100 million to support the university and rebuild decayed infrastructure, adding that a mutually beneficial relationship was being maintained between the university and the association.
A Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Charles Igwe, said student’s population had increased from 6,000 to over 50,000.
