Landlords in Bauchi State have been urged to provide adequate toilets and other necessary facilities in houses to reduce open defaecation and make domestic activities convinient.
The Coordinator of Women Empowerment Initiative (WEIN) Bauchi, Mrs Hajara Pisagih made the call during at the commemoration of the 2017 World Toilet Day in Bauchi at the weekend, saying, “We have observed that much of the waste water in Bauchi metropolis is contaminated with human shit due to inadequate toilets in some areas and compounds. So, we are calling with loud voice to all landlords and caretakers to provide adequate toilets in all compounds”.
